Mountain Online Has been around for a while.
Although literally started in a basement office we opened our first store in April of 1995.
It began with a store by the post office in a small Central Alberta town. Eventually opened an online dial up service in the 90's with our servers in A small town, then expanded to Red Deer and Calgary. We went into server work in 2001 & 2002 and then sold to a Calgary firm. That was a bit out of time as the dial up service all but disappeared by 2002. Working for a few years as a technician installing digital services and fibre Optic connections for Monarch that then became Shaw a few years later.
We spent many years in limbo working on different Careers but still maintaining our mail servers and by this time had many lessons and skills that seemed to be fast becoming obsolete. Even being a Beta tester for MS server 2000 and numerous other certifications wasn't helping in those days. That taught us a lot about the new age of "Clustering" numerous servers to act as one unit. Now a daily item with thousands of CPUS working in unison as a cohesive unit it doesn't really have a special name any more. It's just computing!
In 2018 we began to get an itch as we always liked our computing & Information Technology roots dating back to 1985.
Opening our first new hosting server in 2019. Sticking with our one to one clientele we grew to a point that we needed to upgrade our business plan to include a fully operational hosting service.
We are still proud of our one on one service and are here for people all over the world as well as our Western Friends and Neighbors! Call us for a truly close provider if you live in Calgary!
